I made sure to never close the game or quit to the main menu, I died a few time so thats fine. Once it booted back up, I started a brand new play through. Next, I hard reset/full shutdown my Xbox (long pressed power button). Then I made sure to delete all saved data on the cloud, just to be safe. No DLC installed except for 2 weapon pack DLCs.
On my Series X, I installed the game onto the internal SSD. I recently got my Series X which I think is a necessity as my One X would crash while running the game, next gen has the power to run this game more smoothly. I can confirm doing it all in one sitting unlocked the achievement for me. I will make an attempt on the other achievement using quick resume to see if the tracking will glitch.Īll in all, it roughly took me 5 hours in one sitting to get this done. I did NOT make use of the quick resume, so I can not confirm whether or not the achievement tracking will glitch if you leave the game in quick resume state. Only three scares took place: Two temporary freezes when I was driving and one infinite loading screen (opening the dash and resuming to the game seemed to end the loading screen unless I was a coincidence).
I did uninstall the three major expansions since I had suspicions the "Faster Baby!" would cause crashing every time I drove by the entrance of the county. Will come back to this comment once I get the Series X and either 100% this game or not.Įdit: Can confirm the Series X provides stability to the game, preventing any crashes that would previously occur. With the increase in performance, crashes should be more unlikely to happen as well. With the quick resume feature, you can take a break from this game, and work/relax on others before going back to this. Just wanted to add that the next gen may make these achievements, that seem to only work through one sitting, easier to do.
A lot of time goes into achievement hunting and I wish 2k would show at least some sort of update trying to fix these glitched achievements specifically. That way the people just playing the game won't have to worry about the multiple play throughs just to find out it is still glitched. Update it so you only have to spend 50000$įor "The New Boss" instead of flipping 16 Racket Bosses just make it 1.įor "No Loose Ends" same as the one above instead of killing all of the Racket Bosses just make it so you only have to kill 1. Put an update in the game for those specific achievements updating the prerequisites.įor "Hole in Your Pocket" the prerequisite is Spend at least $500,000. These are the final 3 achievements I need for the game and can not unlock them due to a glitch in the game.Ģk said "the developers are aware of this issue but unfortunately we do not have any timeline for when a fix is going to be implemented". The achievement "No Loose Ends" failed to unlock as well as "Hole in your Pocket" and "The New Boss".
If you feel that you're missing the benefits of wiretapping you can upgrade Vito to get the "Inside Man", which works much in the same way as a wiretap (It reveals enemies on the map and through walls).Īs of 5/25/20 and a 3rd playthrough only killing racket bosses in mafia 3 after following online instructions to delete old saved data and try again. Note that for the second Racket Boss encountered in the game, there's a mandatory setup of a wiretap, so be careful with this one and make sure to press to kill him. The best way to make this achievement go as smooth as possible is to NOT wiretap the areas the Racket Bosses are in - this will make Lincoln kill them automatically, and you won't get the choice of recruiting them. With the exception of 2 of them, you will get the choice of either killing them or recruiting them. There are a total of 18 Racket Bosses in the game. Like the "The New Boss" achievement, it appears this achievement is somewhat fixed, but may also require you to do a fresh playthrough of the game in order to unlock it.
EDIT: This achievement seems to be broken at the moment, thanks to commenters for the update.
